What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Brodstone Healthcare?
JOB SUMMARY:
- This position is responsible for preparing/serving coffee and other beverages, in a timely manner, while providing exceptional customer service to all internal/external customers. This position is open for PRN (as needed) applicants and includes Saturdays!
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
- Adheres to Brodstone Healthcare’s Mission, Vision and Values.
- Adheres to Brodstone Healthcare’s Standards of Behaviors.
- Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
- Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
- Adheres to service agreement, prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as expresso, coffee latte, cappuccino, Frappuccino.
- Keeps equipment operational by following operating instructions. Inspects and initiates repair to assure equipment is in proper operation mode.
- Generates revenues by attracting new customers; markets seasonal promotions and new franchise product lines.
- Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, restocking coffee brewing equipment and supplies. Prepares order for food distributor and franchise supplies.
- Follows departmental standards and state/federal food codes.
- Operates cash register and understands proper cash handling procedures.
- Attends and participates in departmental meetings / in-services, Brodstone Healthcare quality improvement program, etc.
EDUCATION:
- GED or High School Diploma (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
- Retail/Food Service/Barista Experience (preferred)
CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Serv Safe within 6 months of hire (required)
