What are the responsibilities and job description for the QUALITY ASSURANCE AND UPS SHIPPING LEAD position at Brodart Co?
Reporting to the Supervisor of the Supply Warehouse or his designee, this position is responsible for maintaining the daily workflow of the quality assurance and UPS shipping requirements. Monitors customer orders for accuracy and determine appropriate shipping documents.
- Provides quality, quantity and accuracy for all shipments.
- Creates an efficient flow from conveyors as orders are picked.
- Create proper shipping documents on the UPS station.
- Maintains timely processing of all shipments.
- Send pick packs in a timely manner throughout the day to be invoiced.
- Distribute hourly prints to be picked for both US and Canada.
- Load completed shipments onto truck.
- Print shipping documents for truck and end of day shipping report.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed for both QA and UPS shipping.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Pick orders and stock product in the overstock area of the warehouse.
- Responsible for performing other duties of equal or lesser classification irrespective of required change in department, hours (including mandatory overtime) or work conditions as directed by supervisor.
- Responsible for regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Capable of performing at an acceptable proficiency level of competence and efficiency.
- Knowledge of various shipping options of the UPS shipping station.
- Ability to read, comprehend and complete various shipping documents.
- Ability to perform various math functions in all units of measure.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
