Job Summary
As a Chemical Blender, you’ll be responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and blending raw chemical materials to create finished products. The role of Chemical Blender is not the sole responsibility and as such there are duties related to material handling that are also central to this position. Those additional responsibilities will include warehouse tasks such as receiving materials, preparing shipments, and fulfilling customer orders. This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate blending equipment in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Blending Operations
- Measure and weigh raw materials per batch tickets and SOPs
- Load materials into blending tanks, ensuring correct sequence and timing
- Monitor processes (mix times, pH, specific gravity, etc.) and adjust as needed
- Operate and troubleshoot blending equipment: pumps, agitators, valves, and filtration systems
- Perform in-process quality control checks (e.g., pH, specific gravity, color)
- Transfer finished product to storage or packaging systems

Warehouse & Order Fulfillment
- Receive incoming shipments; inspect and log materials
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for delivery or freight pickup
- Label, stage, and load finished goods accurately and safely
- Maintain inventory accuracy through semiannual stock checks
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Ensure warehouses and production areas are clean, organized, and hazard-free

Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE (gloves, goggles, chemical suits)
- Properly handle, label, and store hazardous materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Report safety incidents or concerns immediately

Equipment & Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize blending equipment and work areas
- Perform routine checks and notify maintenance of any malfunctions
- Ensure tools and machinery are stored properly after use
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years in an industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing setting preferred, but not required
- Skills:
- Ability to read Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch tickets, and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)
- Mechanical aptitude; able to operate and troubleshoot blending equipment
- Detail-oriented and accurate in measuring and recording
- Basic computer/data entry skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, email, etc.)
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally
- Standing, walking, bending, stooping for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for handling materials and operating equipment
- Comfortable working in environments with noise, heat/cold, and chemicals (PPE provided)
- Must be able to wear respirators and other PPE as required
- Good vision and color perception for product inspection
- Must pass a physical, drug screening, and background check.
