Elementary Teaching, Support, and Related Service Providers
The following summer positions are being advertised for Special Education Extended School Year Summer Programs, pending approval of the FY27 school department budget.
DATES OF ELEMENTARY ESY PROGRAM: JULY 6 to August 6 (Times Vary depending on position)
LOCATION: Plouffe Academy
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS (7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)
(Up to 38) Preference will be given to teachers to with experience in working with students with autism spectrum disorder, emotional impairments, city resource room, life skills, and integrated teachers.
PARAPROFESSIONALS (7:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.)
(up to 95 total-including 1:1) Paraprofessionals (given number of students participating)
(Lifeskills, ASD, SEI, CRR, integrated classrooms)
*Preference will be given to paraprofessionals with experience working at the
Elementary level in the above-mentioned programs
RELATED SERVICE PROVIDERS (7:30 a.m.– 12:30 p.m.)
2 SLP/SLPA, 2 OT/OTA, 1 PT, 1 BCBA, 2 interventionists, 1 APE, 3 Therapeutic Support Counselors
Teachers and related service providers up to (22) days up to 5 hrs/day at contract rate
Teacher preparation and planning hours must be approved by ESY Coordinator
Support staff (21) days 4.5 hrs/day at contract rate
Van monitor is per hour rate
All Staff must have an updated CORI on file and may be required to complete the following duties: Lifting & Toileting
