The above captioned position is brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•MA DESE Supervisor/Director license in math or science OR holds a Principal/Assistant Principal and a Middle School Math or Science license.
Five or more years successful teaching (Math/Science) and/or administrative experience.
Demonstrated expertise in Mathematics and/or Science instruction (Grades 6–8), including deep knowledge of standards, HQIM, and evidence-based instructional practices.
Proven experience in instructional leadership, including coaching, modeling lessons, and supporting teachers to improve practice and student outcomes.
Strong background in designing and facilitating professional learning that builds educator capacity and translates into improved classroom instruction.
Ability to lead and manage districtwide initiatives, including curriculum implementation, cross-school collaboration, and alignment with state (DESE) expectations.
Commitment to equity-centered instruction, including experience supporting multilingual learners and students with disabilities through culturally and linguistically sustaining practices and effective scaffolding.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with school leaders and educators to strengthen the quality, coherence, and equity of Mathematics and Science instruction across Grades 6-8.
Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of districtwide Mathematics and Science curriculum initiatives aligned to state standards and district priorities.
Design and facilitate high-quality professional learning that strengthens content knowledge, instructional practice, and data-driven decision making in Mathematics and Science.
Collaborate with district leadership to evaluate, select, and recommend instructional materials and resources that support rigorous, standards-aligned teaching and learning.
Monitor emerging research, tools, and best practices in STEM education and translate them into actionable guidance for schools.
Partner with other district curriculum coordinators to ensure coherence and alignment across content areas and grade spans.
Develop and monitor budgets related to Mathematics and Science initiatives to maximize impact on student outcomes.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning.
COMPENSATION:1.30 ratio for an eleven-month work year

Salary : $124,866 - $154,856
