Broad Function
The Accountant is responsible for managing key components of the company’s accounting and
financial reporting processes. This role ensures accurate and timely financial statements, supports
audit and compliance efforts, and provides technical accounting expertise.
Essential Functions
- Promote, demonstrate, and instill Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
- Oversee balance sheet and income statement analysis, investigating and resolving variances.
- Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors (e.g., RSM) during interim and year-end audits; prepare required supporting documentation.
- Assist in technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards or policy updates.
- Review and monitor intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations.
- Partner with treasury and FP&A teams on cash flow forecasting, debt compliance, and financing program reporting.
Working Conditions
- Working conditions include outdoor and indoor fields, yards, and shop locations.
- Working in an office environment.
- Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment as necessary
- Some travel may be required

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, required
- CPA or CPA candidate, preferred
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Experience in multi-entity accounting environments
- Experience with month-end close processes and account reconciliations
- Familiarity with ERP/Accounting systems and proficiency in financial analysis
