Position Summary
The Assembly Technician is responsible for mechanically assembling components, subassemblies, and finished products used in the manufacture of highway construction attachments and related equipment. This position requires the ability to read assembly instructions, safely use hand and power tools, and produce quality products that meet company standards. A strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mechanically assemble highway construction attachments and related equipment according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Install mechanical components including hydraulic cylinders, hoses, bearings, hardware, guards, and other assemblies.
- Safely operated a variety of equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and electric and pneumatic power tools.
- Verify proper fit, alignment, and function of components throughout the assembly process.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and production standards.
- Identify and resolve assembly issues or report concerns to the supervisor.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, and work orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Work cooperatively with production team members to meet production schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
