Our client is seeking a Store Director to lead a high-profile luxury flagship in Los Angeles. This role calls for a commercially strong, floor-driven leader who can elevate team performance, strengthen client development, and represent the store with confidence among senior leadership and an influential local clientele. Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall performance of the flagship, with accountability for sales, KPIs, profitability, client development, and operational excellence.
  • Define, execute, and continuously refine the store action plan to achieve business goals.
  • Set clear quantitative and qualitative objectives.
  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly results and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities to close performance gaps and accelerate growth.
  • Serve as a highly visible leader on the sales floor, setting the tone for service, productivity, and team engagement.
  • Build credibility with a tenured and personality-driven team through strong leadership, coaching, and consistent standards.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across the store, with a focus on strengthening the selling team and supporting future growth.
  • Create a clear vision for the team and provide structured feedback, coaching, and development planning for direct reports and store staff.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing store culture aligned with the values and expectations of this luxury house.
  • Act as a brand ambassador internally and externally, ensuring the client experience reflects the highest standards at all times.
  • Drive clienteling strategy across all levels of the business, with particular focus on VIC and VVIC relationships.
  • Leverage personal and professional networks to attract new clients and deepen engagement within the Beverly Hills luxury community.
  • Represent the store during executive visits, business reviews, walkthroughs, collection previews, and other high-visibility moments.
  • Maintain strong awareness of the local market, competitive landscape, and evolving client trends, then translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Oversee store operations, payroll reporting, scheduling, inventory control, stock flow, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Ensure excellence across front of house, back of house, visual presentation, safety, security, and asset protection.
  • Partner closely with retail leadership, HR, and cross-functional teams to support business priorities and improve store processes where needed.


Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of successful management experience in the luxury retail industry.
  • Experience leading sizable teams, a $15M volume business, or otherwise complex luxury environment.
  • Proven ability to drive sales performance, improve KPIs, and execute strategic action plans in a fast-paced store setting.
  • Strong leadership presence, with the confidence to manage high-performing and strong-willed team members while building trust and alignment.
  • Deep commitment to client experience, loyalty, and long-term relationship building.
  • Established understanding of the Beverly Hills luxury market is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Women's RTW.
  • Existing connections within the local luxury, stylist, entertainment, or high-net-worth client community are highly valued.
  • Comfort operating in a highly visible role with regular exposure to senior executives and international visitors.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to present results, assess opportunities, and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing talent, with a hands-on and supportive management style.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working within a framework that allows initiative, creativity, and local business building.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and operational discipline.
  • High level of fashion and product sensitivity, with the ability to translate brand direction into a compelling in-store experience.
  • Comfort with digital tools and retail systems.
  • Full-time, on-site availability in Los Angeles.
