Blending Room Operator

 

JOB TITLE:            Blending Room Operator 

REPORTS TO:     Blending Room Supervisor 

 

FLSA STATUS:  Non-Exempt, Hourly 

 

POSITION VALUE STATEMENT: At Broaster Company, the Blending Room Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our ingredients, contributing directly to our product excellence and our core purpose of "Chicken Perfected." This position is essential in maintaining the standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency that drive Broaster’s reputation for quality.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Loading and unloading pallets of ingredients 

·         Moving sacks of flour, salt, etc from storeroom to blending room using fork lift. 

·         Loading mixer with ingredients and operating mixer 

·         Moving ingredients, recording ingredient recipes, preparing line 

·         Weighing products, recording batches, proper labeling 

·         Cleaning and sanitizing room as needed 

 

Relationship Management 

·         Work with team to collaborate schedules for on time delivery of products  

·         Attendance is imperative in this position, good attendance cultivates trust within the team 

·         Personal hygiene maintenance, working with food and ingredients requires cleanliness at all times 

·          

Additional Responsibilities 

·         Must have good basic math skills 

·         Must be able to become a certified forklift operator 

·         All other tasks as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

·         Must be able to work with minimal supervision. 

·         General Education Diploma or HS Equivalent. 

·         No experience necessary 

·         Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
