Industrial Maintenance Technician

Broadwind Industrial Solutions is adding an Industrial Maintenance Technician to our team in Sanford, NC. This position is responsible for install, repair, and maintaining industrial machinery to keep production running efficiently. Key duties include diagnostics, preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs. This role ensures the operation of all machinery including CNC equipment, following all company procedures and safety. Come be a part of something BIG!

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Diagnose, disassemble and determine the number of repairs necessary
• Replaces or repair defective parts and reassembles equipment assuring proper functioning and quality performance of such equipment
• Remove/install parts necessary for repairs by: using hoists, cranes, forklift and other special tools
• Identify parts used for repairs and aid in maintaining critical part spares
• Basic electrical testing of equipment and phasing connection knowledge
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests to supervisors and outside service technicians
• Keep buildings, equipment and work areas clean and hazard free
• Work safe and use lock out/tag out as necessary
• Report any machine deficiencies found to supervision
• Perform facilities maintenance and up-keeping when necessary
• Proficient on equipment repairs
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (plumbing, changing light bulbs and filters
• Actively support all EHS and continuous improvement initiatives
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education
• Facilities maintenance experience: 2 years
• Maintenance mechanic experience: 3 years
• Basic electrical experience

Specialized Skills/Knowledge/Ability

• Use hand and power tools
• Able to read hydraulic/mechanical prints
