Location: Hybrid — Alexandria, VA and remote
Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret (required)

Rate: $170,000-$190,000

About the Role
Broadway Ventures is seeking a Senior Policy Strategist to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer Statutory Implementation (CSI) Directorate. This is a high-tempo role for someone who moves beyond information-gathering into expert adjudication, complex policy writing, and simultaneous project oversight. You'll join a collaborative team of subject matter experts improving DoD Information Management policy, technology, and strategy across four functional areas: Records Management, Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), DoD Forms Management, and DoD Privacy Impact Assessment.

What You'll Do

  • Draft component-level Records Management (RM) policies aligned with DoDI 5015.02, DoD CIO memoranda, and NARA/OSW-approved records disposition schedules.
  • Integrate RM requirements into OCIO business processes — functional workflows, system design, and operations.
  • Plan and implement shared-drive-to-SharePoint Online migration activities.
  • Develop and support RM training materials for personnel, including contractor staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal statutes (44 U.S.C., 36 CFR) and DoD policy on privacy, FOIA, and controlled unclassified information (CUI).
  • Provide input for disposition plans, record freezes, and transfer of records to NARA or other repositories.
  • Adjudicate and review complex documents — making authoritative decisions, not just compiling reports.
  • Translate technical requirements into executive-level briefings (high-level PowerPoint and writing).
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects within allocated resources and timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field plus 15 years of related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered: a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 17 years of related experience, or a high school diploma with 21 years of related experience.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience adjudicating/reviewing complex policy documents.
  • Strong technical writing and executive-briefing (PowerPoint) skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Electronic Records Management (ERM) and Records Management Applications.
  • Shared drive / SharePoint restructuring experience.
  • Experience monitoring/maintaining IT systems.
  • Familiarity with the federal acquisition process.
  • Broad understanding of information management issues.

Who Thrives Here: A do-er. Proactive, strong communicator, problem-solver.
