Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, product inquiries, and store navigation.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, ensuring an inviting shopping environment.
- Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating totals.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math is advantageous.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform light lifting, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Pay: $16.94 per hour
