Role Description
BRTC seeks a detail-oriented and motivated Development Coordinator to support donor development efforts. This full-time, exempt, onsite position reports to the Development Manager and is responsible for gift processing and acknowledgments, maintaining accurate donor records, and providing logistical and administrative support for donor events, sponsorships, and cross-departmental projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Gift Processing & Database Management
• Process daily donations, sponsor payments, and grants (On Account, Check, Card, EFT) in Tessitura
• Generate and send donor acknowledgment letters
• Post donation batches and maintain constituent records
• File donor documentation and submit monthly Fund Activity Reports
• Maintain accurate records in database for donors, sponsors, and grant funders
• Develop and maintain database reporting tools, analytics and processes
Donor & Sponsor Support
• Produce donor lists for mainstage show programs and annual report
• Prepare donor segments and materials for fundraising appeals, events, and bulk mailings
• Provide administrative support for sponsor accounts, including agreements, billing, ticketing, and benefits
• Offer excellent customer service to all donors and sponsors
Event Support
• Assist with planning and executing development events
• Support in-kind donation procurement for the annual Gala
• Maintain event supply inventory
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
• Attend Development/Marketing meetings and take notes for the Development team
• Coordinate with Marketing on program needs, print materials, and mailings
• Provide back-up phone support as needed

Qualifications
Required
• Associate’s degree or 1 year(s) of experience with a CRM database
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Availability for occasional evenings and weekends
Preferred
• Experience in nonprofit development or arts administration
• Familiarity with donor stewardship and event support
• Proficiency with Tessitura or another fundraising/CRM database
• Strong writing and proofreading skills
• A passion for the arts, especially theatre
Compensation & Benefits
• Full-time, exempt salaried: $45,500–$48,000 annually, DOE
