Duties

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with speed and precision using POS (Point of Sale) systems
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
• Upsell products and promote special deals to maximize sales opportunities
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed to enhance store appearance
• Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about new or featured items
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, adhering to phone etiquette standards when interacting with customers over the phone
• Handle cash drawer operations responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and reconciliation at shift end

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team tasks or assisting in training new staff
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base
• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and active listening
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and balancing registers accurately
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising principles to effectively assist customers and maintain attractive displays
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math concepts is advantageous
