- Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating patient records, and ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory requirements.
- Administer medications under supervision, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques for sterile preparations.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain meticulous records of medication administration, inventory logs, and compliance documentation for audit readiness.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in critical care and acute care units to deliver timely medication support and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician with a focus on hospital or clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience working in LTC pharmacy or critical care environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IV infusion preparation and sterile compounding practices.
