Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on new or popular items
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking, merchandising, and inventory counts
- Promote store promotions and special offers to maximize sales opportunities
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially within a grocery store or specialty shop environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and customer engagement
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math principles
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining a positive attitude
