Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a supportive environment. The Dietary Aide will play a crucial role in assisting with meal preparation and delivery, ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met by following proper food handling procedures.
- Help set up dining areas, including bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining spaces.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing any concerns or special requests regarding their meals.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service and timely delivery of food to residents.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in training sessions related to food safety, nutrition, and dietary practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or as a cook is preferred, especially within assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work independently when required.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and moving throughout the facility.
- A genuine desire to help others and contribute positively to the well-being of residents through quality meal service.
