We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lending Assistant to join our dynamic financial services team. Duties
- Assist loan officers with the preparation and review of loan applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
- Support the underwriting process by gathering necessary financial data and documentation (income, credit reports, assets, etc.)
- Input and update loan data in the lending system accurately and timely.
- Communicate with customers to gather necessary information and provide update on loan status.
- Manage loan files meticulously, maintaining organized records for audits and future reference.
- Coordinate with underwriters, appraisers, title companies and other third parties to facilitate smooth loan processing and funding.
- Perform basic math calculations for income verification, debt-to-income ratios, and escrow estimations using ten key typing skills.
- Review contracts, disclosures, and legal documents related to loans to ensure accuracy and adherence to banking standards.
- Monitor disbursement of construction and development loans.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination and working relations with bank personnel and with management.
- Respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable lending regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in banking, lending, or administrative support (preferred).
- Knowledge of loan processing procedure is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and lending software.
- Strong communication dn customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple files simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations essential for financial assessments and escrow estimations.
- Ability to operate ten key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
