Broadstep, Inc. is hiring Full and Part Time Direct Support Professionals, (Frontline Residential Specialists), to provide assistance to our programs at our Milwaukee, WI and Port Washington locations.

The DSP will provide a caring, respectful, and empowering environment for our clients. Direct Support Professionals work with clients on individual goals to achieve the highest level of independence. This will ensure that evidence-based practices are utilized to ensure a comprehensive therapeutic program is provided for the individuals served. The DSP will also ensure that state and agency regulations are adhered to, as well as best practice for providing supervision to all clients to make sure their needs are met.
Full and Part time opportunities are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Most positions require weekend availability.
Minimum Qualifications:
- CNA preferred (expired or current CNA)
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass a Wisconsin Caregiver background check,
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug and TB screen.
- Ability to read and write in English
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, if applicable
- Regularly required to lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move 50-100 lbs. (assisted)

Duties of the Residential Care Workers
· Chart daily progress notes during each shift through Therap EMR system
· Ensure daily care for clients
· Assist clients with taking prescribed medication
· Participate in community focused activities
· Attend doctor’s appointments with clients
· Plan meals with attention to dietary constraint
· Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own
· Act quickly and responsibly in case of emergency

Working environment is in a group home or other type of residential setting.
