Position Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for leading all field operations on assigned construction project(s), ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the on-site leader and is critical in driving project success from mobilization through closeout.
The Superintendent works closely with Project Managers, trade partners, and internal teams, and reports to the Project Executive or Director of Field Operations. This position may oversee Assistant Superintendents and other field staff.
Key Responsibilities
The physical demands of this position must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for an extended period of time and frequently stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel: and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move office equipment up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing computer monitors. Some duties in this position are performed under periodically disagreeable working conditions of a jobsite including: working outside, at times in inclement weather; and exposure to water, dust, dirt, grease, paint fumes, chemicals, and equipment noise and vibration. Must be able to work on active construction jobsite. Some administrative tasks may be completed in an office environment, but most work is field-based

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day field operations on assigned projects
- Develop, maintain, and drive the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee quality control and ensure work meets contract documents and specifications
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Conduct regular site meetings, including subcontractor coordination and safety meetings
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts
- Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders, including clients and internal teams
- Support project closeout activities, including punch list completion and documentation
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in Construction Management, Engineering, or related curriculum or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years related commercial construction project work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of project planning and scheduling for construction trades (all disciplines).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software programs.
- Proven skills in the areas of math, as well as excellent teamwork, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
- Strong reasoning and comprehension skills.
