Salary: $60,000-$90,000 DOEBroadley-James Corporation designs and manufactures high-quality pH and dissolved oxygen (DO) measurement solutions for both life science and industrial process applications. We are seeking a detail-oriented SolidWorks Drafter to create accurate 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings of our manufactured pH sensors and related components. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.The ideal candidate is highly proficient in SolidWorks, comfortable working from physical samples and legacy documentation, and capable of producing clear, controlled drawings suitable for manufacturing, inspection, customer requirements and documentation purposes.Tasks and Responsibilities:Create and maintain 3D part and assembly models in SolidWorks, primarily based on existing components and assembliesGenerate 2D drawings including dimensions, tolerances, notes, and views required for manufacturing and quality inspectionConvert legacy drawings, sketches, or undocumented parts into standardized SolidWorks models and drawings, in accordance with company expectationsApply company drawing standards, naming conventions, and revision control requirementsUpdate drawings to reflect approved changes and maintain drawing accuracy over timeOrganize and manage CAD files within the companys document control systemCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams to clarify drawing requirementsMeasure and document physical parts using calipers, micrometers, and other basic metrology tools, where necessarySupport audits, supplier communication, and internal documentation needs as requiredAbilities:Ability to accurately translate physical parts into 3D models and 2D drawingsAbility to work methodically with high attention to detail and dimensional accuracyAbility to follow established drafting standards, templates, and revision controls without deviationAbility to manage multiple drawings and priorities while meeting deadlinesAbility to identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information and escalate appropriatelyAbility to collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teamsAbility to maintain organized CAD data within a PDM-controlled environmentAbility to accept direction and feedback while working independently once requirements are definedPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
