We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Line Producer to join our production team supporting a daily financial news program for our client, Charles Schwab. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role responsible for the day-to-day production of 1-2 live or live-to-tape broadcasts each weekday (Monday–Friday).
This position requires close collaboration with the production team to ensure each show is editorially sound, visually polished, and logistically well-executed.
Key Responsibilities
- Line produce 1-2 daily live or live-to-tape studio shows
- Select stories and conduct guest research to shape daily editorial content
- Build and manage detailed show rundowns
- Write and edit scripts, teases, and segment copy
- Coordinate and track video elements, graphics, and other show assets
- Oversee timing and pacing to ensure smooth execution of each show
- Provide editorial and logistical leadership across pre-production and live broadcast
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience line producing live studio newscasts
- Strong editorial judgment and script writing skills
- Proficiency with rundown software (e.g., iNews, ENPS, or similar)
- Able to thrive in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment
- Willingness to work early morning hours (shifts typically begin between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM)
- Must be available to work on-site at our Chicago office
