Started in 2008 by Barry Faught, Broadcast has grown to several cafes, a multitude of wholesale partners, and countless fans across the globe. Within a few years, Broadcast started its own roasting program, which continues to grow and improve.

About this Role

As the Production Team Member I, you’ll be working closely alongside other members of the production team, where communication and collaboration are essential to the success of the team. Each day, the number one goal is to get coffee out the door and into the hands of our loyal customers. This role is integral in achieving that goal, and to the success of Broadcast Coffee.

You can expect to be successful in this role if you’re interested in learning more about or have experience in production or warehouse work and/or coffee industry experience, enjoy working on a small team, and working somewhere that values your contributions. This role’s tasks and responsibilities will not always consist of the same exact routine, but does have a core set of responsibilities and a fairly regular daily schedule. Candidates should come with an open and collaborative mindset, be proactive, have a willingness to work together to achieve goals as a team, be self-motivated, and be respectful toward others. This role requires high attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and work safely, efficiently, and accurately.

Job Details

Mon-Thu, 6:30 AM - 1:00 PM (estimated)
Approximately 28 hours/week.
$21.00 - $23.00 / hour.PTO (~1 week/year).

Onsite at our Lynnwood location.

The stated hours are estimates, with a regular start time of 7:00 AM, unless otherwise required per the needs of the business, as they might arise. End times can vary, depending on the work load for that day.

These duties are not all-inclusive and may change per the needs of the business.

  • Report to the Roastery Manager.
  • Main duties include:
  • Drive company vehicle, make deliveries to local wholesale partners.
  • Labeling, filling, grinding, and sealing bags of roasted coffee.
  • General knowledge of all things related to fulfillment of orders.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with team members throughout the day.
  • Communicate supplies ordering needs w/ Production Lead and Roastery Manager.
  • Share responsibility with team in ensuring the production facility is maintained and cleaned.
  • Support fellow members of the production team in packaging, grinding, fulfilling orders, maintaining organization, etc.
  • Keep inventory of dry goods, including supplies needed for daily operations.
  • May be required to fill-in for other roles as the need arises.
  • Various tasks around the roastery or off-site as needed.

Requirements

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must maintain a Washington State Food Worker card.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs unassisted, and 160 lbs assisted.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
  • Able to work with or without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a loud environment for the duration of the workday. Ear protection is provided and headphones/earbuds are allowed.
  • Standing, Walking, Bending, Stooping throughout the day.
  • Adherence to safe lifting practices.
  • Repetitive motions throughout the day.
  • Daily use of computers, printers, box knives, heat sealers, grinders, and other equipment.
  • Efficient time management, prioritizing tasks to guarantee smooth flow of work.
  • Experience in the coffee industry is a plus but not required. A desire to learn about and grow within the coffee industry, and/or experience working with your hands in a production or similar environment.

Base Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
