Service Apprentice Craftsman
AT A GLANCE:
Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Service Apprentice Craftsman to join our Customer Experience team. The Master Craftsman provides world class customer service while assessing and repairing furniture in the customer’s home.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:
- Assessing damages and choosing appropriate methods of repair for wood furniture, leather, fabric, marble, and motion upholstery
- Working comfortably with hands
- Displaying an aptitude for craftsmanship, artistic and/or carpentry services
- Service-oriented, friendly, and helpful attitude with the intention of satisfying the customer 100% while exercising good judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
- Maintaining a clean and organized company vehicle to ensure all necessary tools are assessable and safely stored
- Learning new skills to successfully repair furniture in a customers home and determine showroom quality
- Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Desire for continuous learning and development
- Ability to keep accurate records of work performed to assist in statistical record keeping
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, high level of attention to detail and professionalism
- Exhibit a professional appearance at all times and display a strong work ethic
- Previous experience including assembling furniture or other goods and/or construction trade with the ability to use power tools safely and efficiently
- Product knowledge including various types of furniture and supplies
- Proper product handling and manipulation
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of basic computer navigation, including data entry and internet navigation
- Knowledge of smartphone usage (i.e., taking photos, emailing, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills, time management skills, and attention to detail while learning and working with a trainer
- Clean driving record with a valid drivers' license
- High School diploma or equivalent
