AT A GLANCE:
As part of the Broad River Retail’s People team, the Senior Total Rewards Specialist assists in the management and administration of company benefit and wellness programs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Overall, provide education, support, and advocacy to our Memory Makers.
DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:
- Monitor, research, and interpret federal, state, and local laws impacting benefits and leave programs; ensure timely compliance and partner with internal stakeholders to implement required changes
- Administer various benefit programs, including but not limited to group life, medical, dental, accident, disability insurance, 401(k).
- Manages full cycle enrollment/eligibility process including open enrollment, newly eligible employees, reporting and administration
- Engages and supports the relationship with brokers, insurance carriers, and other administrative agencies outside the company to ensure program is administered effectively
- Create and provide monthly reporting as needed
- Review the Benefits Resource Center to verify up to date and relevant information is available
- Coordinates as needed with HRIS Analysist and Payroll
- Manage Leave of Absence administration which includes Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, FMLA, ADA
- Support and contribute to Wellness initiatives and events
- Ensure confidentiality of employee medical and leave records and ensure continued compliance with HIPAA Privacy laws.
- Escalate issues as appropriate.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field, or equivalent work experience in related mid-level HR fields.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of relevant Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
- Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance related matters
- Must be self-motivated with the capability to think and act independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Hybrid work schedule with three required in office days per week.
