Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Jersey City, NJ, for a Commercial Building Engineer. The Building Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day building maintenance, system checks, and addressing repair needs across the facility. Tasks include performing preventive maintenance, ensuring plumbing systems are functional, addressing maintenance and repair requests in a timely manner, and assisting in the overall facility management. The role also involves responding to emergency situations and ensuring all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Building Maintenance and Facility Management (FM)
- Proficiency in Plumbing and Maintenance & Repair tasks
- Experience in conducting Preventive Maintenance to improve system reliability and efficiency
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across building systems
- Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with vendors, contractors, and onsite staff
- Prior experience in commercial or industrial facility management is a plus
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, facilities management) are highly desirable
