Machine Builder
Location: Novi, MI

What You’ll Do
As a Machine Builder, you’ll play a key role in building and supporting high-quality machines from start to finish:
- Disassemble and assemble machines, tooling, and automation from mechanical drawings
- Set up machines and perform tool setting
- Collaborate with engineering, fluid power, and electrical teams on machine and automation development
- Perform machine quality run-offs while working directly with customers
- Travel to customer sites for machine installation, startup, training, and service (approx. 15% travel, domestic and international)
- Provide field service support, troubleshooting, and repairs at customer locations
- Assist other manufacturing departments as needed (including occasional cleaning or power washing of used machines)
What We’re Looking For
- Prior machine assembly, maintenance experience, or strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and indicators down to .0001" or better
- Ability to read and understand mechanical schematics and drawings
- Basic knowledge of machining, tool room equipment, and fabrication
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel and provide exceptional customer service
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mindset
- Must have industry-relevant tools and reliable transportation
Nice to Have:
- Experience with welding
- Overhead crane operation
- Forklift operation
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate technical degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- Occasional overtime and Saturdays as needed to meet delivery schedules
