Job Description

The residential construction rehabilitation/re-construction superintendent will schedule and manage all facets of restoration projects for single family homes in Fort Myers and surrounding areas. They will be responsible for the timely completion of assigned operations to stay within budget and deliver completed homes in expected timeframes. The ideal candidate should be flexible with working hours and committed to performing tasks at hand to deliver project deliverables.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

· Overseeing field personal, daily/weekly schedules, and residential rehabilitation and re-construction operations

· Monitors all rehabilitation/re-construction work and subcontractors and assures all work is within project scope of work and set specifications. Inspects project work activities and serves to advise field supervision of possible safety hazards and assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Provide leadership and direction to construction personnel.

· Take active role in emphasizing safety, quality and leading by example.

· Coordinate equipment and crews and other job-related activities to maximize efficiency

· Protection and enhancement of public relations, company image, and company’s value.

· Have a working knowledge of rehabilitation and restoration construction.

· Coordinates with subcontractors, client/owner, inspectors, etc. to isolate project scope and/ or specification problems and assists in developing solutions to these problems.

· Request and review purchase orders.

· Document project status and communicate project reports with project manager

· Carry out job duties while maintain Brizo’s values.

· Ability to oversee up to 6-8 residential homes simultaneously.

Qualifications:

· Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supervising residential construction rehabilitation/restoration projects.

· Demonstrate positive decision-making skills and the ability to build homes in a timely manner.

· Ability to work in a high production environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.

· Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Familiar with rehabilitation/restoration of homes

· Must have restoration insurance experience.

· Must be able to write job scopes.

· Degree in construction management or similar area is desired but not necessary.

· Demonstrates ability to be flexible and quickly adaptable to changing conditions across all spectrums.

· Demonstrates and verifiable ability to manage, supervise, schedule, and delegate tasks.

· Willingness to work with and adhere to guidance with manager.

· Willingness to work within a chain of command.

· Must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

• Construction Rehabilitation: 5 years (Required)
• Construction Restoration: 5 years (Required)
• Writing Job Scopes: 3 years (Preferred)
• Restoration insurance experience.: 3 years (Required)
• Job Scope Writing: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Florida Residential Construction Contractor's License (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Preferred)
