Brixey & Meyer Capital (BMC) is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp and driven Financial Analyst to join our Portfolio Management Team. In this role, you’ll help drive growth across our portfolio companies by turning complex data into meaningful insights. You’ll work closely with executives—both within BMC and across our portfolio—to analyze financial performance, build models from the ground up, and answer critical “what if” questions that shape strategic decisions.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Financial Analyst, you will:

• Build and maintain detailed financial models from scratch, including three-statement forecasts, liquidity analysis, scenario modeling, and covenant testing.
• Analyze financial and operational performance across BMC’s portfolio companies, uncovering insights and making actionable recommendations.
• Partner directly with C-suite leaders to evaluate business strategies, capital allocation, and growth opportunities.
• Support portfolio companies with budgeting, forecasting, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Manage and interpret large, sometimes imperfect datasets—leveraging Excel and ERP data to create clarity and structure.
• Draft investment memoranda and executive presentations summarizing analysis, performance trends, and risk assessments.
• Proactively fill downtime with process improvement projects, template creation, and forward-looking scenario analyses.

Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (required)
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or portfolio management
• Proven ability to build 3-statement financial models in Excel (not just maintain existing ones)
• Strong understanding of how the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow connect
• Comfort working in Excel-first environments and handling large datasets from ERPs
• Analytical curiosity and a drive to understand the “why” behind the numbers
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with executives
• Experience in a private equity–backed or multi-entity environment preferred
