Women's Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to celebrating, supporting, and empowering women entrepreneurs globally. Our mission is to inspire and uplift women to become active participants in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering economic growth and positive social change.
The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in advancing WEDO's mission by overseeing the Global Ambassador Program, managing strategic partnerships, spearheading fundraising efforts, and working closely with our founder, Wendy Diamond. Additionally, the Executive Director will oversee all team members, including outside contractors, volunteers, and interns. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in nonprofit management, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for women's entrepreneurship. We are open to candidates from both the nonprofit sector and corporate America who are ready to transition into an impactful career within our entrepreneurial foundation. Candidates with consulting experience and residing in the Tristate area preferred.

Global Ambassador Program
- Oversee the Global Ambassador Program, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and support of ambassadors.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the program's reach and impact.
- Foster a strong community among ambassadors, encouraging collaboration and sharing of best practices.
- Oversee all team members, including outside contractors, volunteers, and interns.
- Provide leadership, support, and professional development opportunities for the team.
- Ensure effective collaboration and communication among all team members.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with organizations, corporations, and individuals that align with WEDO's mission and goals.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefits and long-term sustainability.
- Represent WEDO at key industry events, conferences, and meetings to build and strengthen relationships.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support WEDO's programs and initiatives.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and individual donations.
- Manage donor relationships, ensuring timely communication, reporting, and recognition.
- Work closely with Wendy Diamond to align on organizational vision, strategy, and priorities.
- Provide regular updates on program progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Assist in representing the organization in public engagements, media appearances, and other high-profile events.
Requirements
- Proven experience in nonprofit management, with a focus on program development, fundraising, and partnership management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising and resource development.
- Passion for women's entrepreneurship and commitment to WEDO's mission.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- A few years of consulting experience is preferred.
