Outside Flooring Sales Associate

SUMMARY

The Outside Flooring Sales Associate is responsible for generating flooring sales by prospecting builder/contractor/designer clientele. They should have the ability to read specifications and blueprints accurately. They should be driven by challenges, highly motivated with an ability to self-manage their time effectively and prioritize multiple projects. It is also expected that the individual be a self-starter, personally well organized, and willing to create new business as well as provide outstanding customer service and follow-up.

DUTIES

• Sell all types of floor coverings
• Build client relationships
• Network regularly
• Follow up in a timely and professional manner with clients on all requests or
• Obtain plans electronically from customers, contractors, and builders
• Reviews documents and understands the scope of work to bid
• Obtains pricing for materials and labor

REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of architectural plans and all types of flooring materials as well as the installation process
• Self-Motivator
• Ideal candidate would have established relationships with builders, GC’s, and other industry leads
• Must have access to reliable transportation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality
• Sound judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task various processes and projects

EXPERIENCE

• Experience in the flooring industry (sales or installation) a* HUGE PLUS!*
• Outside Sales 3 years required
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $3,000.00 per month
