Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Wash, peel, cut, and chop vegetables; prepare meats, poultry, and fish; measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes.
- Kitchen Organization: Set up workstations and ensure all ingredients are labeled and stocked properly for easy access during cooking.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Routine Tasks: Perform routine kitchen tasks such as restocking supplies, cleaning workstations, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Work Environment
- Work in fast-paced kitchen environment for busy seasons. Be able to withstand being exposed to heat, steam, and noise.
Qualifications and Skills
- Basic Cooking Knowledge: Understanding of cooking principles and kitchen equipment.
