BIM Coordinator (Electrical)

Work Location: This is a fully on-site position. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented BIM Coordinator to support our BIM Manager to coordinate Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and workflows for various projects. Electrical experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is organized and eager to learn. This position requires expertise in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to ensure the successful integration, collaboration, and execution of 3D models and project data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the population of electrical BIM models including routing strategies and proactive coordination against other trades.
- Read and comprehend contract documents that will detail scope of work.
- Read one-lines, panel schedules, etc. to execute 3D modeling.
- Manage internal clash detection and direct conflict resolution strategies.
- Work with site foremen to ensure modeling is built for ease of constructing in field.
- Work closely with project management team for resolution of issues identified during reviews through the Request For Information (RFI) process.
- Turn model into detailed shop drawings for field use.
Qualificatons
- Must have experience working as a BIM Coordinator, Detailer, or Modeler.
- Proficient in MEP Revit, Navisworks and/or Revizto.
- Strong computer skills and aptitude for learning.
- Detail oriented and able to recognize errors quickly.
- Working knowledge of general construction.
- Ability to effectively solve problems.
