What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Drafter position at Britt, Peters and Associates?
We are hiring a Structural Drafter to join our team. The Structural Drafter will focus on design support for projects spanning various building types and materials. Coordinate with Engineers and other Drafters to gather requirements, develop and revise designs, to specifications. This position is preferably on-site at one of our five offices; however, remote and/or hybrid may be considered for the right candidate.
Description:
Meet with project team(s), Engineers, Managers and/or other Drafters to gather drafting requirements.
Produce designs utilizing available tools including Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit software and Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Autodesk AutoCAD tools.
Prepare complete and concise design and construction drawings including reviewing, revising and coordinating details and dimensions.
Assist with overall drawing coordination on assigned projects.
Prepare estimates of the time required for assigned projects.
Manage multiple, often concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.
Adhere to all standards and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Civil Engineering or Engineering Technology
4 years of structural drafting and detailing experience
4 years of work experience with AutoCad
4 years of work experience with Revit
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Bluebeam PDF Editing Software and Microsoft Teams
