In this role, the ideal candidate will apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, reviews and prepares contract documents and specifications, Participates in employee development, works to maximize team utilization and efficiency, assists in ensuring the organization has effective and accurate standards, and maintains/ cultivates client relationships.
Responsibilities
Client Service & Business Development:
- Meets client/ team leader’s expectations for value added and project delivery
- Provides sound, timely solutions to clients
- Cross-sells services, and identifies future projects for the organization
- Demonstrates expertise and industry knowledge
Leadership and Employee Development:
- Participates in employee training and professional development
- Encourages team participation to maximize team utilization and efficiency
- Participates in recruiting activities
- Develops Engineer’s-in-training
- Responsible for project document control
Financial Performance:
- Integral participant in meeting team’s financial objectives
- Understands project scope and identifies extra services
- Meets individual utilization goals
- Stays current with time sheets

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering degree from an accredited college, university or technical school.
- PE licensure required.
- 8 years of civil engineering experience including business development, client relationship management and team management.
- Experience in dealing with people and compatible work experience
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Computer literate in AutoCad, Microsoft Office, Spreadsheets (Excel), and some design software
