FUNCTION: Operations

LOCATION: ASC- Clarksville

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Operate and monitor tobacco casing tanks, mixers, blenders, and scales using touchscreens, switches, and valves per detailed work instructions.
• Learn, understand, and utilize equipment manuals.
• Maintain accurate records utilizing scanners and computers for the electronic tracking systems (MES, i-Fix)
• Physically place and visually ensure that the correct type and amount of tobacco and ingredients are added to the batches.
• Communicate with other employees and supervision to ensure correct batch is being processed and equipment is operating appropriately.
• Notify Supervision and Quality Control when tobacco or ingredients are not in specifications.
• Maintain general cleanliness in work area per GMP guidelines.
• Operate industrial forklifts and material handling equipment per process and safety guidelines.
• Perform all tasks assigned by the department supervisor.
• Be aware of the Company environmental, health & safety policies and comply with the objectives as it relates to the role
• Follow Company Safety Rules
• Know the potential health & safety risks and environmental impacts of work activities and understand role in mitigating these impacts
• Understand responsibilities for compliance with regulatory requirements and Company standards
• Complete EHS-required training and follow operational procedures
• Immediately report all injuries and illnesses
• Participate in EHS programs as required by assigned site/role (e.g., PULSAR safety observation program, Safety Triggers)
   

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

• Previous manufacturing/processing experience preferred
• Must be able to work any shift

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Required to pass lift truck and scissor lift certification requirements, where applicable in role.
• Ability and willingness to learn and retain knowledge.
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, proactivity, and effective follow-through.

Physical Requirements

• Walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, and lifting to 100 pounds
• Must be visually capable to distinguish differences in color and wording on product and to detect non-tobacco related materials

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Work Keys: Applied Math Level 3, Reading for Information Level 3, Graphic Literacy Level 4, Workplace Observation Level 2

Wage Information

• Hourly Rate: $ 29.87
• Bonus Target: 7% percent
