Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Swim Instructor based in Camp Hill, PA. The Swim Instructor will conduct swimming lessons following British Swim School’s specialized curriculum, focusing on water safety, survival skills, and stroke development. Responsibilities include teaching various age groups from infants to adults, evaluating and tracking student progress, ensuring class safety, and providing an engaging learning environment. Collaboration with parents and guardians to communicate progress and encourage skill reinforcement outside of lessons is also essential.
Qualifications
- Skills in Swim Instruction and delivering Swim Lessons for both children and adults
- Proficiency in Swimming and general knowledge of Aquatics
- Experience or certification in Lifeguarding or related safety practices is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse age groups
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching water safety and swimming skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
