Swim Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in aquatic skills. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating students of all ages in swimming techniques, ensuring their safety, and promoting a love for water activities. Your role will contribute to the overall development of students while fostering a positive and encouraging environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet varying skill levels.
• Educate students on water safety and proper swimming techniques.
• Monitor students during lessons to ensure safety and provide immediate assistance when necessary.
• Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create engaging swim programs and events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after lessons.
• Provide feedback to students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Swim Instructor or in a related role is preferred.
• Certification in Lifeguarding or Water Safety Instruction is highly desirable.
• Background in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, or Childcare is beneficial.
• Experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting is an asset.
• Ability to engage with children and adults effectively while demonstrating patience and understanding.
• Skills in behavior management to handle diverse groups of learners.
