The position includes complete paid training in our highly-developed proprietary methodology, so a long track record of swimming is not necessary. We teach in mostly small venues that allow you to get to know your kids and allow them get to know you!
Successful instructors come from many different backgrounds. Many have been a lifeguard, babysitter, camp counselor, teacher, and many are currently a college student. If you like swimming, sports (kinesiology), teaching and education, customer service, or are retired and looking for meaningful use of your time, this could be a wonderful opportunity for you.
Although we teach swimming to all ages and abilities, the majority of our students are pre-school and elementary-age children so you must love kids.
Most instructors at our Austin locations work 12-20 hours/week, but some work fewer and slightly more based upon their needs.
