Overview
A wonderful returning BAHS client is seeking a temporary full-time nanny to provide additional household and childcare support for approximately four weeks, from August 15 through September 12.
The family has two young children and employs a live-in nanny who will remain actively involved throughout much of the assignment. This role is designed to provide additional coverage during a period where the parents will be away and current nanny has scheduled time off. This is an excellent opportunity for a nanny who enjoys working as part of a team while still taking initiative and providing confident, hands-on support.
The family is seeking a professional, proactive, and flexible nanny who is comfortable stepping into a dynamic household, supporting daily routines, and helping maintain a smooth and organized environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, adaptable, and happy to assist wherever needed, whether that means childcare, meal preparation, household support, or helping manage the flow of the day.
The schedule will generally be 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily, with flexibility based on the family's needs. The family is open to both live-in and live-out candidates and welcomes applicants from across the country. Private accommodations will be provided for live-in candidates.
There may be an opportunity for a few days off between August 28 and September 3 if desired.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care for two young children.
- Support daily routines including meals, activities, outings, naps, and transitions.
- Plan and engage children in active, developmentally appropriate play.
- Assist with meal preparation for the children and provide light support with family meals.
- Complete children's laundry and maintain organization of children's belongings and spaces.
- Perform light housekeeping and daily household resets.
- Assist with dinner, bath, and bedtime routines.
- Work collaboratively alongside the family's existing nanny and parents.
- Step in proactively to support the overall needs of the household.
- Maintain a calm, organized, and positive environment throughout the assignment.
Qualifications
- Strong recent experience caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Comfortable managing full days with multiple young children.

Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Available for the duration of the assignment.
- Available and able to travel to New York during the assignment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Comfortable working extended days and a flexible schedule.
- Able to provide strong professional references.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly professional.
Salary and Benefits
