Overview
A confidential client is seeking property manager on Shelter Island. The schedule is Thursday through Tuesday but candidates should be available as needed. This individual will report directly to the principal and is responsible for providing management and oversight to the full-time, part-time, and temporary domestic staff of the principal and the U.S. residences.
Responsibilities will include household operations maintenance and budgeting (creating and maintaining annual maintenance schedules with appropriate domestic staff; windows, HVAC, kitchen equipment, pool, etc.), liaising with the principal and the principal’s chief of staff on a daily basis regarding updates and open items, supervising and/or assisting vendors with assigned work, relationship management with key vendors associated with day-to-day facilities and scheduled maintenance services, property inventory and maintenance of household and household contents (maintaining accurate inventory and restocking as needed), management of household staff (vendors, groundskeepers, housekeepers, chefs, and having the ability to source and provide training within all disciplines of domestic staff, and ensure proper staffing levels), security (ensure all staff is properly trained on property emergency and safety procedures), and technology support (ensure that all technology is fully functioning at all times when the principal is in residence, issue and track electronic equipment to all staff; phones, laptops, i-pads, etc.), ensure technology is updated on a weekly basis and reset as necessary - experience with Lutron, Crestron, Apple TV and Somfy technology is a plus.
Candidates must have experience managing others, experience managing within private estates or 5-star resorts with a staff of 25 or more, hyper attention to detail and efficient communication, strong capabilities with technology hardware and various software packages (i.e. smartsheet, TribeHR, wheniwork), and strong written and oral communication.
