Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Facilitate community integration activities and accompany individuals to appointments and outings
- Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
- Promote resident independence, dignity, and self-advocacy at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation must
- Ability to pass background clearances including PA Child Abuse History and FBI clearance
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Willingness to complete required DSP training and certifications (CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
