We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cage Wash Attendant to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining sanitation standards throughout the facility and supporting daily operations to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cage sanitation and maintain cleanliness within the cage wash area
- Safely operate sanitation and facility equipment including autoclaves, equipment washers, laundry machines, and hoists
- Transport dirty equipment to the cage wash area for processing
- Maintain clean hallways and ensure adequate supplies of clean autoclaved materials
- Assist with facility cleanliness in procedure rooms, corridors, offices, break areas, locker rooms, and other common spaces
- Collect waste, restock supplies, change light bulbs, and fulfill facility support requests as needed
- Support physical plant maintenance and general housekeeping duties
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to approximately 500 pounds
- Must be comfortable with bending, stretching, walking, standing for extended periods, reaching overhead, and climbing ladders as needed
- Must not have allergies to animals, animal bedding, or waste products
- Previous porter, janitorial, or cleaning experience is a plus
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $17.00 per hour
