Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise and interact with children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor children’s progress and behavior, applying effective behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to share updates on children’s development and address any concerns or needs.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or related settings is highly preferred but not required.
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required every 2 years.
- Strong classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- GED/High school diploma
- FBI, Child abuse, State Police, National Sex Offender clearances.
