TITLE: SCHOOL NUTRITION WORKER (SUBSTITUTE)
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Assist the food service manager in preparing quality, nutritious meals in an atmosphere which will be appealing to students and staff.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction.
- Must be able to work well with other people.
- Must enjoy working with students K-12.
- Must be physically fit and emotionally stable to carry out performance responsibilities and show evidence of a negative tuberculosis test or x-ray.
REPORTS TO:
School Nutrition Manager
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and serve meals using proper portion control and efficient approved methods.
- Maintain sanitary, orderly work area.
- Maintain high standards of grooming and personal appearance.
- Participate in clean up after meal preparation.
- Accept and complete assignments in a positive manner.
- Develop knowledge, skills and abilities related to the position.
- Demonstrate ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrate ability to adjust to changing situations.
- Support school division programs and philosophies.
- Present a positive, friendly appearance and attitude toward all students, school staff, and parents.
- Effectively operate computer equipment to ensure accuracy of all food service records.
- Perform any other specific and reasonable duties as shall be requested by appropriate supervisors.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
As per statement of employment for non-certificated personnel.
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and regulations on evaluation of personnel.
