Upholsterer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented person with a good work ethic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and restoring various products using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality items, with a focus on full restoration furniture projects and custom manufacturing processes. We have been in business for over 50 years and we take pride in our quality over quantity approach as do our loyal customers. If we are a good fit together you will be part of a 3rd generation family run upholstery shop looking to expand our team by one and work together and/or solo to grow and become as successful together or solo as possible. The hours are flexible and the pay is to be determined based on your skill level and how much time you want to put into this. You can work as much or as little as you’d like, as long as quality work is being put out and we are completing projects, the flexibility will always be there. This is an opportunity to make a good living out of a career trade skill and provide long term for you and your family.DutiesOperate hand tools, power tools, and sewing machines to assemble and repair products efficiently and accuratelyUse sewing techniques to create or restore fabric components for various projects, including furniture restoration upholstery or custom manufacturing piecesConduct detailed inspections of finished work to ensure quality standards are metAssist in the assembly process by following detailed instructions and blueprintsMaintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all timesTroubleshoot mechanical issues with tools or equipment and perform basic repairs as neededCollaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standardsDocument work progress and report any issues or discrepancies promptlyExperienceProven experience working with hand tools, power tools, and sewing machines in a manufacturing or workshop settingKnowledge of sewing techniques and fabric handling for product assembly or restoration projectsPrevious involvement in furniture restoration or similar craftsmanship fields is highly desirableFamiliarity with assembly processes within a work shop environmentStrong attention to detail with a focus on quality controlComfortable working independently as well as part of a teamThis position is an excellent fit for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, furniture restoration, or manufacturing who thrive on hands-on work.
