The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mill Machinist whose specialty is tackling everyday challenges. If you can work as a team, share your knowledge and skills amongst your professional coworkers, then you may feel at home at Bristol Precision. This role offers autonomy, technical challenge, and the ability to directly shape programming standards, machining strategy, and overall shop performance.

We have an Immediate opening for CNC Mill Machinist who will fit out culture and has experience turning and inspecting precision prototype parts to tight tolerances.

We were proudly named the 2022 SBA Massachusetts Small Manufacturer of the Year. In 2023 we won a Massachusetts MMAP grant to help purchase a new CMM and 5-axis milling machine.

What Should You Bring to the Table…

- A minimum of 3 years Experience in a similar role

- Must be familiar with Fanuc Controls and Mill/Turn

- Must have an advanced understanding of blueprint reading including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

- Must be able to take accurate measurements using micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and thread gauges.

- Strong shop math skills required

-Must be able to follow ISO procedures

- Must be able to work well on a team, be hands-on and willing to do whatever is required to ensure the company's growth, and able to thrive in a small-company environment.

- Must have a positive, professional attitude and a growth mindset.

- US citizenship required and must have reliable transportation and an unrestricted drivers' license

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and run complex milling jobs in a high-mix, tight-tolerance environment
• Work from Mastercam programs and make adjustments as needed to ensure performance and quality
• Lead daily workflow for setup machinists and operators, setting clear priorities and expectations.
• Train and mentor team members on setup efficiency, quality standards, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and remove roadblocks to maintain flow.
• Promote standardized, repeatable setups that reduce variation and improve reliability
• Coordinate priorities closely with production leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC milling experience in a precision machining environment
• Working knowledge of Mastercam
• Familiarity with Haas Control
• Ability to inspect parts using a variety of quality assurance tools and methods
• Experience operating within an ISO environment
• Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented mindset.
