Executive Director, Cell Therapy, Technical Operations, Drug, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Seattle, WA. Maintain a robust support network for all commercial Cell Therapy Technical Operations (CTTO) activities related to Life Cycle Management (LCM), new technologies, automation, comparability, and tech transfers. Oversee implementation of LCM, new technology and automation projects at all manufacturing sites to improve robustness, scalability and COGM/TAT/RFT for approved cell therapy products. Lead and develop strategies for cell therapy comparability exercises to enable change implementation. Manage activities in global labs to support LCM change implementation, validation, and comparability efforts. Partner with product technical stewards and Regulatory teams to align on strategy and manage implementation. Ensure technical and manufacturing requirements are addressed throughout lifecycle of new solutions. Review technical reports, source documentation and filing sections to support product lifecycle and regulatory submissions. Serve as a senior technical leader, in management and governance forums, providing input to advance Cell Therapy & Global Product Supply strategic priorities. Recruit, retain, and develop a diverse staff of highly capable technical leaders, scientists, and engineers to create a world-class CTTO organization. Manage group budget and expenses.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $295,000/yr - $318,670/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field, and ten (10) years of post-bachelor’s, progressive, related work experience.

Must have experience with/in the following:

  • Lean Six Sigma;
  • Automation Delta V;
  • Manufacturing execution systems (MES);
  • Data analytics;
  • Process modelling;
  • Statistical analysis;
  • Aseptic operations; and
  • Validation.

Skill set does not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience. Must have ten (10) years of experience with/in the following:

  • Biotechnology (vaccines / biologics);
  • Pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience in process development;
  • Manufacturing and process validation; and
  • People management.

May telecommute 50% of time to Seattle, WA, from anywhere in the United States. Domestic and international travel 25% of time.

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
