Medical Director of Eating Disorders, Psychiatry Department in Somerville, NJ
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Medical Director in Psychiatry who specializes in eating disorders to join Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ. This full-time position will be responsible for providing psychiatric services within the continuum of services within the Eating Disorder program. This is an ideal role for psychiatrists seeking a leadership position and are passionate about caring for patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and many other psychiatric co-morbidities.
As the largest integrated health care delivery system in New Jersey, RWJBarnabas Health offers competitive compensation and a robust benefits package including health, life, disability and malpractice insurance, 401k/retirement, plus PTO and added time off for CME.
Compensation And Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $315,000 to $505,000 per year.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.

- BC/BE in Adult Psychiatry
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ
- Comfortable seeing patients with eating disorders
- Ideally experienced working in an inpatient setting
- High energy, adaptable, and able to work on a team
