Packaging Technician
Position Overview
The Packaging Technician is a motivated, detail-oriented individual who works well in a small team setting and is eager to learn about the cannabis industry specifically. The technician works with the packaging and labeling of consumable products with a focus on sanitation and quality in a strict regulatory-compliant production environment. Light packaging equipment and inventory management software will be used .
Compensation is full-time hourly with overtime compensation and employment is at-will.
TECHNICAL/REGULATORY
● Ensure regulatory compliance of personnel and location with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines.
● Operate, clean, and maintain light-manufacturing machines such as counters, heat sealers, cappers, scales, labelers and conveyor belt systems.
● Ensure quality control and production standards are met.
● Ensure all safety precautions are followed during all types of production and packaging processes.
● Ensure all packaging processes are clean, tidy, orderly, organized, and hygienic.
● Previous hemp or cannabis industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in licensed facilities.
ORGANIZATIONAL/TEAM PLAYER
● Follow and review Standard Operating Procedures.
● Ability to work within a small team and coordinate day to day labor and activities with thorough and time effective strategies.

Minimum Required Experience:
● Prior experience in food prep, MIP or other production facilities. Regulatory compliance is a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Working knowledge of the hemp or cannabis industry.
● Working knowledge of Seed to Sale Tracking Software, creating tags, production batches, test samples, transfers, and more.
● Working knowledge of MS Office, comfortable learning new software
● Ability to follow standard operating procedures
● Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.
● Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs.
● Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time.
